World AIDS Day

Today is December 1st which means two things.  The start of the last month of 2009 and that today is World AIDS Day.  There are more than 33 million people currently living with HIV/AIDS in the world today.  2 million of those people are children under the age of 15.

So, what can we do.  There are little steps you can take and larger steps.  Today if you bought a coffee at a Starbucks coffee shop they donated 5 cents from your purchase to the Global Fund, which in part goes to fighting HIV/AIDS.  There are also a number of other organizations you can donate money to, or get involved with.  If you would like to get involved, a quick Google search should give you an idea of organizations in your area.

Today Whatisyourgay.com would like to take time to honor those who have died fighting HIV/AIDS and those who are living with it today.  Through continued sex education and clinical research we can win this fight.

Take charge of your health, speak openly with your partner about his/her status and get tested. Many people infected with HIV/AIDS do not know it.  Know your status!

From all of us here at Whatisyourgay.com we wish you good health.

Thanks for promoting awareness. So many good people have been lost. We need to take precautions and it all starts by educating ourselves about gay male health . It could save 1,000's of lives if we just educate ourselves.
